On a Personal Note~
I am a happily married man. My wife, Melody, teaches 3rd grade at Stone Academy. We have three beautiful children. Austin, 28 is a Furman University graduate, and the sustainability coordinator of Kane County, Illinois. Sarah, 22, is a recent University of South Carolina graduate, and Will, 20 is a junior at Western Carolina University. We also have a cute 2 year old Dashaud mix, named "Russell".
I enjoy all sports and played tennis at Mars Hill University. In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and traveling with my family. Originally, I am from Lexington, Kentucky, and a die hard Kentucky basketball fan. GO BIG BLUE!
On a Professional Note~
I have been an educator 32 years and counting!
I am a Mars Hill University graduate and received my Master's degree in Administration in 2001 from Clemson University.
I spent my first years in education as a teacher and coach at Lakeview and Riverside Middle School. Then, I served in the role of administration, both as an assistant principal and principal. I was the principal of Legacy Charter Middle School until 2015. I then made the decision to return to classroom and spent 9 years at League Academy as an 8th grade teacher and boys basketball coach.
I spent last year working for the school district as a GATE teacher coach.
I am thrilled to be back in the classroom and working with 8th grade students here at Rudolph Gordon School. Go Gators!
