What We’ve Been Doing

 We are beginning to work on counting orally and counting objects. Currently we are doing 1 -10 but will work up to 20.  Names are important to children so we are beginning letter recognition with the first letters in everyone’s name. We look at and say all the letters everyday but emphasize the ones in their names. While we will be learning to write our names, we are working first on making the different lines that form letters.

Activities to help with writing.

*play with playdough

*use sidewalk chalk

*fold and tear paper

We also have related arts once a week.  We rotate between Art, Music, and P.E.

Open House will be Thursday, September 19th. It will be a drop in from 4:30pm to 6:00pm. We look forward to seeing everyone!
