About Me

I grew up in Greenville, SC and began my music career in high school as a Jazz guitar student at the Greenville Fine arts Center. After graduating from the College of Charleston with BA in Jazz guitar in 2000 I played guitar with various groups across the south east over the past 20 years. In 2007 I returned to Greenville to raise two children (Hugh and Fiona) with my wife Melissa. In 2013 I completed a masters degree in music education at Converse College. Since 2013 I've taught elementary music and band for Greenville county schools at Sara Collins, Taylors Elementary, Lake Forest Elementary, and Blythe Academy of Languages. When I'm not teaching I am busy with my New Orleans style band Tuba Gin. We play traditional jazz and blues from the birth place of jazz - New Orleans. Outside of music I like to play Dungeons & Dragons and other games, cook and bake, and watch scifi with my dog Ollie.
