Meet the Teacher

Welcome to K4!   

          I am thrilled to have the opportunity to embark on my eighteenth year of teaching and learning with your child. My name is Von Carter. I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. I graduated from Greenville Senior High School.

      After graduating from high school, I attended South Carolina State University and graduated with honors and received a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I completed my Master's Degree in Education and went on to earn a MS in Instructional Design and Learning Technology. I have a "Read to Succeed" literacy endorsement. Last year I completed the required "LETRS" endorsement. In the future, I desire to obtain a Gifted and Talented certification and an ESOL certification. Therefore, I am considered "highly qualified" and certified to teach early childhood education.

     I have a daughter named Aubrey and she loves to play volleyball. It is my belief that every child can and will learn. I will be the engine that drives my students on the road to success. I look forward to a fun filled and education filled year!
