Meet Your Teacher

I am so glad to have everyone in my room this year.  I am a local girl. I went to Blue Ridge High School. Then I graduated from North Greenville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. In June 2006, I graduated from Furman University with a Master of Arts Degree with a concentration in Reading. In May 2023, I graduated with Masters of Arts in Innovative Early Childhood Education through a partnership between Boulder Journey School and University of Colorado Denver.  

I taught first grade here at Gateway for three years and then five year old kindergarten for four years.  This will be my fifteenth year in PreK.  At home is my husband, Travis, and our two French bulldogs named Jasper and Marni. I'm sure your child will hear about them through out the year.
