This is my 20th year teaching for Greenville County Schools. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked with the Cancer Research Department at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, where I had the opportunity to work in the Phase I Clinical Trials Office. I have held many other jobs before getting to where I am, but my favorite way to spend my days thus far has always been teaching!
I have a B.A. in Spanish and French from Kenyon College and an M.A. in Spanish Literature from Middlebury College. I have taught or facilitated instruction in many courses including Spanish, French, Business Applications, Personal Financial Literacy, Digital Arts, Art History, and Music Appreciation. Currently, I co-teach Math Strategies and Algebra I with Mr. Rafferty.
My husband and I have lived in Greenville for as long as our daughters can remember and our youngest was born here in Greenville. Before Greenville, I lived in Vermont, Ohio, and Colombia, S.A. We love to hike at Paris Mountain State Park and spend time outdoors. I enjoy spending time with my family, in my garden, reading, and learning new recipes. I most recently took a course in nutrition last summer! Our eldest daughter just got married in Puerto Rico in 2023, our middle daughter is finishing college and working, and our youngest is in high school.
I am pleased to be a part of the team at Berea High School and enjoy working with our students.
