5th Grade Human Growth & Developement Lesson
This is a 75-minute lesson regarding human growth and development that will be presented to the 5th grade boys and girls in seperate classrooms and taught by a district health educator at their home school.
Both the male and female lesson will include instruction on maturation and the physical changes that every adolescent will experience during puberty. Instruction will include:
personal hygiene
emotional and physical changes of the body
the importance of communicating with the family.
The male lesson will include instruction on the anatomy of the male reproductive system
The female lesson will include instruction on the anatomy of the female reproductive system and menstruation.
