III. Rules for Student Behavior
Designed to acknowledge and reinforce positive behavior.
1. Follow school rules daily.
2. Talk at the right time and one at a time.
3. Respect your teacher and your classmates.
4. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Some students may have Individual Behavior Plans as part of their IEP’s which will specify more detailed procedures for managing their behavior.
Students who try their best daily and follow rules will get points using Class Dojo, and online behavior tracking program. You are welcome to log in and check your student’s progress or receive it via email. Depending on the points earned, the students will receive a treat.

IV. Learning and Instructional Goals
Each spring all of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) are developed for each student. New students to the Resource Program have IEP’s developed at an IEP Committee meeting. The most current test data is used to determine each student’s level of instruction. The IEP will serve as each student’s long-range plan for this school year. Resource Room instruction supports students in achieving their IEP goals and reinforces Common Core State Standards and District Curriculum.

VI. Assessment Procedures
An individual criterion for the mastery of each objective is included in the IEP as are methods by which mastery will be assessed. In addition to academic requirements, all students must also meet the attendance policy of the district.
Reporting to parents will be accomplished at least quarterly through progress reports. Parents are invited to attend conferences the first and third reporting periods. Goals and objectives on the IEP will be updated quarterly and results of each student’s progress will be provided to the parent/guardian. Evaluations to measure progress will include curriculum-based assessments, teacher-made tests, standardized tests, and teacher observations. All students will participate in state and district assessments.

VIII. Presentation of Rules and Procedures
During the first class meeting of the year, all rules, consequences, and reinforcers are posted in the classroom and reviewed. These are subject to be reviewed and amended as needed.
IX. Communication With Parents
Parents will be contacted throughout the school year. Parents receive the following:
1. A copy of classroom rules, consequences, reinforcers, and procedures.
2. Mid-nine weeks progress reports.
3. Nine weeks report cards and progress reports.
4. Phone calls and/or letters home.
5. Notification of schedules parent/teacher conferences to be held.
