Parents are welcomed to contact me at any time in regards to questions or concerns they may have. Please know I will try my best to promptly respond within 24 hours per district policy. Parents will be contacted by phone or email in the need of scheduling their child's IEP meeting, special review, or reevaluation based on the end dates of the documentation.
Grading Guidelines:
Grades are not given in the special education resource/inclusion setting. Students' grades are given in the general education classroom from their general education teacher towards grade level standards. In the special education classroom students are assessed every ten days towards their IEP goal(s) using curriculum based assessments as determined by their IEP. Student’s progress is shared with parents every quarter on IEP progress reports using the progress scale of mastered, satisfactory progress, minimal progress, or not introduced. Student’s progress toward IEP goal(s) does not affect their overall classroom performance on the general education curriculum. Please refer to the district grading policy for further information.
Classroom Expectations:
Students are expected to always try their best even though some learning tasks may be difficult. Students should follow the rules of the classroom along with the school wide rules in the hallways.
