Hi there!
My name is Christina Emmons and this year I am teaching Environmental Studies and Integrated Science. Both of these classes will spend a fair amount of time in our laboratory. I plan on exploring and experimenting as much as possible.
I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and attended Ball State University. During my sophomore year of college, I participated in an exchange program, and I attended the University of Maine at Orono during the spring semester and LOVED it. If I could have found a way to pay for out-of-state tuition, I am not sure if I would have ever returned. Alas, I did have to leave my friends and I returned to Muncie, Indiana, and graduated from BSU with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Life Sciences. In the 2012-2013 school year, while teaching, I went back and finished my minor in Biology and received my High School Biology Certification. I am now certified in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Biology Education. In December 2017, I graduated from Clemson University with a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences.
It's hard to believe these babies are almost 5 already!
My adorable twin boys, Killian James and Kai McLaurin were born on April 21, 2020. In this picture, they are about 2.5 months old. I am obsessed with them!!
I know, so why is my last name still Emmons? Due to several things, like a missing marriage license (found a good 6 months after we got married) which is just the tip of the iceberg. I still go by Ms. Emmons. Please remember, Mrs. Emmons is my mom. haha
Our family includes two rescue pups named Oliver Twist and Stevie Nicks.
Oliver is a Schnauzer/Yorkie terrier Mix (we think) and Stevie Nicks (known as "Relay" to the boys on the cross country team that rescued her from the Jockey Lot) is a German Shepard/Poodle Mix. Aren't they cute?!
My parents and my little brother make-up the rest of the Emmons family. They all still live in my hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Here we are at my wedding, and it is the only decent family picture we've had in awhile. We clean-up nice, yeah?
