My name is Candace (Candi) Bolt and this is my 14th year teaching at Stone Academy. I was a stay-at-home mom for many years before I decided to pursue a career in education. Before that I was an actress performing regularly in local theater productions at the Greenville Little Theatre and Café and Then Some, as well as commercial work. Prior to landing a job here at my DREAM school, I was a computer lab teacher and then a kindergarten teacher at Paris Elementary. I have a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in English, Journalism, and Psychology from USC Upstate as well as a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. In addition, I hold an M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning, and an M.Ed. in Literacy and ESOL, both from Clemson University~
GO TIGERS!!!!
I have such a passion for teaching and helping children achieve their goals. I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life!
When I’m not at school I spend every moment I can with my "perfect-for-me" little family: my husband, Jim; our son, Sam; our daughter, Perry; our sweet dog, Murphy; our completely-out-of-control-but-we-still-love-her-anyway dog, Winnie; and our lazy cat, Maple. I LOVE being a mom and a teacher. My hobbies include spending as much time as possible with family and friends, hiking, biking, traveling, drinking coffee at The Village Grind, attending concerts, reading, writing, being “crafty”, and (of course) ALL things Clemson (Did I mention GO TIGERS?;-)
