About our educator

Susan West joined the Parents as Teachers program in 1990 and is currently working with the Girard, Arma and Frontenac school districts. She has also worked with the Pittsburg school district as families have moved between districts. Susan grew up in Pittsburg and was a Pittsburg High School graduate. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University. Prior to Parents as Teachers, she was a substitute teacher for the Girard school district. Susan and her husband have three grown children and live in Girard.
