**Palisades third graders are going on a field trip on Thursday, April 25th. Most of the students have turned in their signed slips. Your child will need to bring a lunch from home for that day. Please let me know if you have any questions. 


**Starting Monday, my class will be doing an ABC countdown to the last day of school. The details were sent home today in your child’s Friday Folder. I also emailed them to you. Participation is optional. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Parents,
Each Friday, I do an "Estimation Jar" activity with my class. I put a certain number of little items in a jar, the kids each estimate how many items they think are in there, we count the items, and see who came the closest. Whoever comes the closest gets to choose a party that the entire class gets to enjoy on the following school day.
Today, Sailor and Advaith tied for the closest estimate! Sailor estimated that there were 65 items in the jar. Advaith estimated that there were 67 items. The actual number of items in the jar was 66. I rolled a die to see who won the right to choose the party, and Advaith won! The party this student chose was:
