Incelement Weather Policies

Wildcat Care offers care from 7:00 AM-4:00 PM on days that school is closed due to inclement weather.

There must be a minimum of 15 children signed up for WCC to be open on school closure days.

This will be offered to registered Wildcat Care families ONLY who previously signed up for such days.

The deadline to register for Inclement Weather is October 1st.

If Goodhue Public Schools announces a 2-hour late start: Wildcat Care will operate during the hours of  7:00 AM-10:00 AM and 3:15 PM-5:30 PM. Families must be registered for 2-hour late starts to use morning care. Please send all belongings needed for the day including a sack lunch, in case school ends up closing for the whole day.

If Goodhue Public Schools announces school closure after the 2-hour late start: Wildcat Care will operate during the hours of 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Families must be registered for inclement weather days to use all-day care. Please send all belongings needed for the day including a sack breakfast and lunch.

If Goodhue Public Schools announces an early release due to weather: Wildcat Care will operate from the time school releases until 4:00 PM. Families must be registered for early release due to inclement weather to use afternoon care.

If Goodhue Public Schools announces a school closure: Wildcat Care will operate during the hours of  7:00 AM-4:00 PM, provided the staff can make it to the building. Families must be registered for inclement weather days to use all-day care. Please send all belongings needed for the day including a sack breakfast and lunch. Wildcat Care would be closed in blizzard type conditions, if travel is not advised, or roads are closed. Weather conditions will be evaluated throughout the day to determine if WCC will remain open until 4:00 PM. If WCC closes early due to road conditions, parents will be notified to pick up their children within 2 hours or make other arrangements to pick up.

*Staff will not be completing all GOLD day assignments. They will complete reading steps for the day.*

Incelment Weather forms are due to the Wildcat Care office by October 1st. 

23-24 Inclement Weather Rates:
All Day Closure: $28 per day

2 Hour Delay: $11 .50per day

Early Release: $12.50 per day
