Welcome to the WCS School Advisory Council page on our website!
SACs are advisory bodies to individual school principals, regional centres for education (RCEs), and the Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) on a range of issues related to their local schools and the overall school system.
SAC membership can vary, but generally consists of the school principal, parents/guardians, teachers, other school staff, students, and community members. SAC membership should reflect the diversity of the school community.
Everyone is welcome to attend!
All meetings are open to the public for observation, and members of the public who wish to address the school advisory council are asked to inform the SAC through the chair or the school principal in writing at least one week prior to the school advisory council meeting. Presentations are to be no longer than ten minutes. They may address the meeting at the discretion of the chair. There are no in camera sessions or personnel issues discussed.
