Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2025-2026 School year!

Hello and welcome to the Glace Bay Elementary School website. I hope that you are able to find lots of helpful information. 

As principal of GBE, I am looking forward to working with the students, parents, staff and the people of the Glace Bay area to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment for our students.  I offer my commitment, energy, and enthusiasm in order to create a positive learning environment for all students.  We have a dedicated staff who, with the cooperation of all members of the learning community, will strive to see that all our students achieve to their full potential.

Our parents, guardians, and caregivers are an integral part of our students’ educational process. We believe that the potential for success in school increases with the solid involvement of the home. We encourage the parents of our students to be active in their child’s education and their support is much appreciated. 

Please watch each month for our newsletter which we send home to parents. This correspondence helps to keep parents up-to-date on what is happening and upcoming events at our school.
