We have four houses: Kitpu, Kopit, Muin and Paqtism. These houses are named using Mi'kmaq words in respect of our acknowledgement of our school being on unceded Mi'maq lands.
The four animals in our logo represent our core values. The eagle represents love, the bear represents courage, wisdom is the beaver and humility is the wolf.
In Omni Paratus means "prepared for anything" which is our motto. We strive to prepare all of our students and staff to be prepared in knowledge, skills, abilities, emotionally and physically. Our curriculum follows the Nova Scotia curriculum with focus on social and emotional learning, providing support to all students and staff, kindness, respect and grit.
We celebrate diversity in all its beauty: students benefit from learning about our heritage and the contributions of our first nations and African ancestors along with our Gaelic, English, French, and others. Students also learn about diversity of abilities in inclusionary classes and in diversity of gender and persons that are within the LGBTQ+ community through clubs, meetings, classroom activities.
