New Principal

Mr. Tom Reed-Swale

Hebron Avenue Elementary School Principal

Mr. Reed-Swale has spent 22 years in public education, serving the last seven years as Principal of Bethany Community School in Bethany, CT. Families and staff describe him as a caring, collaborative leader who builds strong relationships and works closely with parents to support each child.

A champion for students, Mr. Reed-Swale believes schools should be places where children are challenged to grow while also feeling safe, valued, and supported. In his words, “families should know that they are sending their children to not only learn academic skills, but to be cared for and nurtured.”

We are confident Mr. Reed-Swale will bring energy, experience, and heart to the Hebron Avenue community.

Summer Enrichment Camps

Camp Registration is now OPEN!

Click here to register for our 2026 Summer Camp offerings. Summer Enrichment Camps are self-supporting and are designed and facilitated by staff. There is no cost to the Board of Education as camp tuition covers the costs of teacher salaries and supplies.

Early Release Wednesdays

Glastonbury Parks & Recreation offers a variety of programs in our school buildings during elementary school short Wednesdays (September to November and March to June). For details, including programs, times, and locations, please visit the Glastonbury Parks & Rec website. All questions about this program should be directed to Glastonbury Parks & Recreation.

School Meal Menus

School Café is our new online menu system for the 2025-2026 school year. Families can access school menus, get nutrition information, check allergens, and download the SchoolCafé app.

Kindergarten Registration

Any child who is five years of age on or before September 1, 2026, and who meets all residency requirements is eligible to begin kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year.

Hebron Avenue School Mission Statement
