Course Description

First grade mathematics focuses on many skills. The following are goals in our mathematics curriculum:

• Counting
• Addition
• Number Stories
• Length
• Place Value
• Addition and Subtraction Fact Strategies
• Attributes of Shapes
• Geometry
• Two- Digit Addition and Subtraction

Homework

Your child will have math homework Monday - Thursday. Homelinks or math fact practice sheets will be sent home in his/her homework folder. This will be a required portion of your child's math grade.
