Welcome to Mr. Ross's Class Website!

Students enrolled in Math 8 are going to focus on three critical area:

• formulating and reasoning for expressions and equations

• grasping concepts of functions and using functions to describe quantitative relationships

• analyzing two- and three-dimensional space and figures using distance, angle, similarity, and congruence, and understanding and applying the Pythagorean Theorem.

These main concepts, as well as other concepts, will be built upon through rigorous, real-world problems and applications. Although math is associated with individual learning through paper and pencil, this class will focus on class discussions and collaboration.
