About Me

Hello!  My name is Sarah Lentz, and I am a dual-certified French and Spanish teacher at Greater Johnstown High School.  This year, I am teaching grades 9-12.  I currently hold a Level II certificate.  This year marks my fifteenth  year in teaching.  In 2008, I graduated from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA with a Bachelor of Arts.  I double-majored in Spanish and French with a concentration in Secondary Education and minors in World Languages, Social Responsibility, and Global Cultures and Languages.  While in college, I participated in several study abroad programs.  In 2005, I studied French Language and Quebec culture at l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada.  In 2007, I studied Spanish Language and Mexican culture at Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.  Also in 2007, I studied French Language and French culture at  l'Université Stendhal, Grenoble 3 in Grenbole, France.  In 2011, I received a Master of Education also from Saint Francis University.  This year I am teaching French 1, French 2, French 3, French 4, Spanish 1, Summit Spanish 1, Summit Spanish 2, Summit Spanish 3, and Summit Spanish 4 AP Language and Culture.  I am a mentor in the Summit Program.  I also teach dual-enrollment Spanish via Penn Highlands.  In the past, I have taught 8th Grade French/Spanish Culture as well as AP Spanish Literature.  I am the advisor of French National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.
