CAREER LAUNCHPAD PROGRAM (CLP)

CREDIT 0.50 (E) or 1.0 (E) • GRADES 11-12 • APPLICATION REQUIRED

PREREQUISITES: Minimum GPA of 2.5. Good attendance record. No disciplinary concerns.

Career Launchpad is offered to junior and senior high school students to experience a career they may be interested in pursuing. By gaining a first-hand look at a career, students are prepared to choose a career that matches their passions, strengths, values, and interests, and colleges or other educational opportunities that assist them in reaching these goals. As a result of the experience, students will approach their next interview and internship prepared and confident. Students work with Mr. Campbell at GLHS (campbellj@gjps.org) to arrange to mentor for 60 hours (0.50 credits) or 120 hours (1.0 credit). 

CAREER LAUNCHPAD IS AN AMAZING WAY TO TEST-DRIVE ONE OR MORE CAREERS HANDS-ON, NETWORK WITH PROFESSIONALS ALREADY IN THE INDUSTRY, AND POTENTIALLY SECURE PAID EMPLOYMENT AFTER THE EXPERIENCE.
