The man who is waiting for something to turn up might start on his shirt sleeves. Men who try to do something and fail are infinitely better off than those who try to do nothing and succeed. This Saturday, do something you have wanted to do for years. Something just for yourself. And repeat this process once every month. One cannot govern with buts. In the long run, men hit only what they aim at. Therefore, they had better aim at something high. Why not go out on a limb? That is where the fruit is.

Only a mediocre person is always at his best. Nothing determines who we will become so much as those things we choose to ignore. Until you try, you do not know what you cannot do. The difference between doers and dreamers is that the latter wait for the mood before taking action while the former create the mood by acting. People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I do not believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they cannot find them, make them. Imagine you only have one year to live. What important things would you be doing? How would you be allotting your time to accomplish the most you could? This exercise is one method of going after your priorities
