Classroom Rules and Expectations

Materials: please be prepared for class

    1. You must bring a pencil every day. All work is to be completed in pencil.
    2. You must bring a red checking pen every day.
    3. Science notebook – 1-2 inch binder with loose leaf paper.
    4. Colored pencils/crayons will be used on occasion.

    1. Scissors will be used on occasion.
    2. Rulers (metric/standard) will be used on occasion.
    3. Student planners must be used to keep track of work.

Rules: very simple and easy to follow

    1. BE SAFE
    2. BE RESPONSIBLE
    3. BE RESPECTFUL
    4. It is NEVER okay to be disruptive
    5. Your number one priority in this class is to learn and grow intellectually. Safe seats and the buddy room will be used in an effort to redirect students that are struggling with behavior issues. Being in the safe seat is NOT a punishment, just a chance for you to try to correct any behavior that may be impeding your progress or that of your peers.

Absences: stay on top of your work you miss

    • Turn the assignments in on time – That is the expectation for all students
    • All homework must be completed before class begins on the due date
    • Late work is accepted but only until the next day’s class (1 day)
    • 25% Reduction for ALL late work
    • If the work is not turned in, then that assignment will remain as missing (0% credit)
    • Late and missing work will lead to a poor class average or failing grade
