We offer students some helpful resources to delineate the difference between our professional doctorates (DMin/DLd) vs PhD. Project Faculty are invited to review these articles as well:
This serves as the platform for the research course sequence. Each student has a Peer Group Canvas site organized according to Project Faculty.
Announcements: Use this space for communication and coordination.
Classwork: Each Module contains assignment upload slots for the semester. The final milestone assignments have grading rubrics for PFs to use in evaluating student work.

Prior to Canvas, we used Google Classroom as the platform for the research coursework. gClassrooms integrates Google folders on the backend.
Students complete their Project Portfolio over three years under the guidance of a Project Faculty (PF) person. Each PF works with a small peer group of 3-5 students, participates in 2 of the face-to-face intensives, meets virtually with their Peer Groups several times each semester, makes pass / no pass evaluations of each of the milestone assignments, and participates in the final evaluation of the Project Portfolio.
Students are best served by PFs who have these characteristics:
responsive
provide clear communication
high standards
pastoral: encouraging, supportive, caring, able to diffuse anxiety
directive
helps advisees creatively navigate their research and design processes
pay attention to detail
process oriented
convey confidence regarding the Collaborative Design process
are reflective practitioners themselves
