GD Players

Drama Guild at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School

Drama Guild is a home for all students interested in acting, singing, set construction, costume design, lighting, sound, marketing, and public relations.  Drama Guild is is a fully self-funded program. The GD Players host three shows per school year including the Festival of One-Acts which offers a friendly, but competitive format in which each class puts on their own one-act play.  We are fortunate enough to have members of the community, with theatre experience, adjudicate the performances.  The plays also offer an opportunity for students at GD to experience live theatre and the community to attend quality and inexpensive shows. Student actors and techies put many hours into each production. Rehearsals are typically three hours a day for eight weeks until the infamous "tech week" with five hour rehearsals followed by two hours of technical work.  GD Players alumni have continued drama in college and beyond.
