Reminders:

RECESS:   We go out to recess daily (accept when weather temps or conditions do not permit) so please be sure your child is dressed appropriately throughout the seasons.  Please reach out to us if you need assistance.  We'd be happy to help. 

WATER BOTTLES:  Students should only have water in water bottles.  We permit water in the classroom. Please do not bring colored liquid, soda, and milk in water bottles.

• IPADS:  Ipads are expected to be fully charged and brought to each class everyday. Students should always have the cord & chromebook in their case.

• SCIENCE NOTEBOOKS: Your child should bring 2 compositions notebooks to science at the beginning of the year.  This notebook serves as their science textbook, accompanied by lab sheets given in class as well as sketchnotes that we will create throughout the year.   There is no hard back science book. We will use 1 notebook per semester.  Notebooks should be taken home periodically so that parents can see graded work. 

• HISTORY TEXTBOOK & FLOCABULARY:  For Semester 1, Social Studies class is embedded in the Science Class Block and will be held every other day or twice a week. A history textbook, My World, World Geography, Western Hemisphere and Flocabulary.com serve as the foundation of our Social Studies curriculum.  

• CIVICS:  For Semester 2, Civics is embedded in the Science Class Block and will be held every other day or twice a week. Students will learn about Civic responsibilities and duties through the text, We the People, as well as interactive lessons from iCivics, Nearpod and Flocabulary.
