Biography

Mrs. Kathy Collins, Band Director

Mrs. Collins has been the Director of Bands at Brookwood Middle School since 2009. Teaching responsibilities include all Concert Bands (5th grade - 8th grade), Jazz Band, World Music, Beginning Guitar, as well as 4th- and 5th-grade General Music.

She spent 7 years as director of bands at Harvard High School, Illinois, directing concert band, jazz band, pep band and marching band. She also served for many years on the staff of the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy, teaching conducting, marching, leadership and teaching fundamentals to high school drum majors from across the country.
