Purpose and Plan

This Association, formed in January 1998, seeks to strengthen and increase the resources available to students in the public schools of Gates County.

Current Priorities of the Association include:

• • Promoting staff development opportunities for Gates County School System employees that enrich and enhance the talents of out teachers and staff

  • Making mini-grants available to school staff to implement their creative ideas in the classroom

  • Increasing student and staff access to ever-changing technology by providing up-to-date computers and software

  • Implementing a student reward system that will recognize significant improvements in leadership, citizenship, and academics

  • Providing additional instructional supplies for Gates County students to better equip them for the future
