Professional Experience:
U.S. Air Force: Served just over 21 years in the Air Force, ending with being a Medical Service Manager, Medical Operations Superintendent, and base Senior Medic. Taught multiple courses over seven years, including Basic Emergency Medical Technician, Customer Service, Basic First Aid, CPR, and Electrocardiograph Interpretation. Awarded “Best Medical Technician/Senior Non-commissioned Officer of the Year” seven years straight at three different bases. Competed for top nine in the Air Force. Awarded for being among the top 33 Air Force Recruiters in the nation twice. Had multiple prior medical certifications. Interviewed, hired, fired, evaluated, and trained military and civilian personnel. Held many supervisory, managerial and upper management positions within medical centers and clinics, from emergency rooms and ICU’s to inpatient units and clinics. Oversaw budget accounts totaling from $1K to $11M and managed up to 375 personnel.
AFJROTC: 20 years experience as an ASI. Taught Aerospace Science I-IV, Leadership I-IV, and Wellness to 9th through 12th grades. Advised and coached Athletic Clubs, Drill and Saber Teams, and Flight/Cadet of the Quarter Awards, as well as AFJROTC summer leadership courses. Aided drill teams to national, state and local level awards. Coordinated multiple student fundraising efforts to support AFJROTC activities and equipment purchases. Planned and supervised cadet activities and trips, including off-campus educational offerings, military balls, drill meets, cadet tours, saber team and color guard presentations.
Education:
Associates Degrees in Allied Health Sciences and Personnel Administration. Amassed over 175 semester hours in college credits, most in nursing, military, and science related courses. Prior Florida JROTC teacher certification. Completed 9 semester hours in education for North Carolina JROTC teacher certification/licensure. One semester from completion of Bachelors in Liberal Arts/Education.

Interests:
Health/fitness, swimming, motorcycling, and most outdoor sports. Enjoy cooking and reading when time allows.
Personal:
Married, living in Fort Mill, SC. Have two sons, One in San Antonio, TX, oldest (Tim) completed law school in January 2009, MBA in 2013, and is working for a University Healthcare System. Youngest (Trey) completed bachelor’s in business and working for the Dept of Defense, and is married to an active duty Naval Corpsman (Gibby), stationed in Washington D.C., have a son (Maverick) who turned 16 this year. Also, have a step-son (Thomas) who is a junior at University of South Carolina and a step-daughter (Victoria), a senior at Fort Mill High School.
