About Me

I came to Gaston County Schools in the fall of 2019 year after 20 years of service in Catawba County Schools. I've taught every level of English, as well as, Theater Arts, Teacher Cadet, and AVID. I joined the Stuart W. Cramer Storm family as the new English IV and AP Literature and Composition teacher, but due to current circumstances I will be teaching English III this semester. 

I earned my undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University, my masters degree from Gardner-Webb University. I am nationally certified in AIG instruction and I have state certification from the College Board in AP Literature and Composition.

I am the mother of three very active children, two of which are enrolled in GCS schools and one who has begun his journey to adulthood. My oldest son is in management at a local car wash franchise, my middle man attends Appalachian State University, and my daughter is a student at here at Stuart W. Cramer High School Though I've been an active parent in the school system for years, I am excited to be a part of the school system as a professional educator and share my passion for learning and teaching with the students of Gaston County.
