02-Editing Your Home Page

Class files: tlsChargersLogo_500x170.jpg, read_205x85.jpg (in the Buttons directory), 205x85_school.jpg (in the Buttons directory)

Add Logo

  1. From the sub-site home page, copy the web page URL by highlighting the URL and pressing Control/Command + C.
  2. Click the Edit Logo button at the top of the page.

  1. Click the Upload a New File button and select the tlsChargersLogo_500x170.jpg file from your computer. Paste the sub-site home page URL in the URL for link box. Press Save Changes.

Edit Feature Boxes

  1. Click the Edit RSS Feed button in the first feature box.

  1. Rather than use the box for an RSS feed, we'll use it to post a feature image and perhaps link to a page on our web site. In the Select behavior for this box drop down menu, select the Standard Link option.

  1. Fill in the rest of the information on the form. and click Save Changes.
    • Title: Summer Reading
    • Link text: Sign up for a summer reading program at the library or bookstore!
    • URL: Leave this field blank for now. You can always link to a web page you create in the future if desired.
    • Image: Click the Upload a New File button and select the read_205x85.jpg file
    • Open main link in new window?: Unchecked
    • Open bottom RSS link in new window?: Unchecked
  2. Repeat for the second feature box, filling in this information differently:
    • Title: School Supply Lists
    • Link text: Grab the list of supplies for your 2014-15 classroom.
    • URL: Leave this field blank for now. You can always link to a document you upload in the future if desired.
    • Image: Click the Upload a New File button and select the pushpins205x85.jpg file
    • Open link in new window?: Unchecked

Edit Column

    1. From the sub-site home page, click the Edit Column button.
