Scenario: Set up a new blog for posting Prayers.

Click the Blogs link in the home page feature menu.

Add a New Blog

Click Add new record button.

Set up the blog with these settings and click Save Changes.

Blog Title: Prayers

Allow blog replies?: Yes, responses are emailed and posted on site

Visitors without accounts: May view and post comments

Require approval for blog comments?: Require approval for user and anonymous comments

Blog Administrator Email: your e-mail address

Allow all visitors with accounts to POST entries in this blog: Unchecked

How many paragraphs should be included in the blog message preview? 1

Allow RSS? Checked

How should the author’s name be displayed? Display author’s name

Add blog

The blog title will be listed on the Blogs main page. Use the Edit button to change any of the settings above. Click the blog title to go to the blog.

Edit Blog Settings

Use the Add Link area in the right sidebar to add feature sites for display on your blog. Input a Title and URL and click the Add button.

Devotion Link

Click the Add/Edit Blog Authors button to see a list of users with login privileges on your site.

Select desired names from the list and click the Add button to grant author privileges. Use the Back to Blog link to return to the main page of the blog.

Posting a Blog Entry

Click the Post New Blog Entry button to add a blog post.

Enter the blog title Common Table Prayer.

Add a new category Meals and check the category to apply it to this blog entry.

Use this sample text or your own prayer text in the post area. Click Submit and confirm with OK.

The blog entry displays. At the bottom of the entry are links to Post A Reply and Start Email Notification For The Post.

Use the Back to Prayers link at the top to return to the main page of your blog where you will see the Categories and Archive by date links which are automatically generated and displayed in the right sidebar of the blog.
