My teaching career began in 2000, after I moved to Cleveland from Michigan. I taught one year of first grade at Ascension Catholic School. The following year, I made a move to Cleveland Metropolitan Schools. I taught almost every grade K-8 over a nine year period.
In 2008 I began volunteering at OFHS, working with students who were preparing for the OGT. I loved this work, and was so happy in 2010 when a fifth grade position opened at OFIS. Leaving Cleveland was a difficult decision, but my heart was here in Olmsted Falls. Teaching fifth grade here has been the highlight of my career. I have wonderful co-workers, and am proud to also call them friends. My teammates are incredible. The work they do inside and outside the classroom constantly encourages me, teaches me, and helps me grow professionally and personally. We love to make each other laugh (After all, we ARE in fifth grade!) I am extremely lucky that I get to wake up every day and do something I absolutely LOVE with staff and students who constantly inspire me.
My husband Mike and I have lived in Olmsted Township since 2004. You may see us around town (or at football games, lacrosse, etc.) with our two children, Michael and Ava. I like to volunteer in my spare time for a few non-profit organizations. (You may have heard me referred to as "The Kick-It lady"- guilty as charged!) It has been wonderful to watch children in our community grow up here. They have been blessed by an amazing community and wonderful teachers. The dedication and hard work our Bulldogs show makes me proud every day. I am excited to spend another year teaching in Olmsted Falls. Thank you for entrusting me with your child this year.
