I have been teaching in the Olmsted Falls City School District since 1997. I am also a proud 1987 alum! My family and I live in Olmsted Falls as well. This year I will be teaching science and social studies. I believe that all students are important. In addition, I believe that students should come to class ready to learn. It it very important that students come to class prepared in order for them as well as other students and myself to have a successful learning/teaching experience. I also feel that it is important for students to take some responsibility for their learning, this would include asking for help when needed and spending some time on school work outside of the school day. My goal is to make learning about science and social studies important and fun! I believe in treating people with kindness and respect. Finally, I feel that no question or concern whether it is from a student or parent is too small. Parents if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me and please encourage your child to see me as soon as possible. My contact information is as follows: email rvormelker@ofcs.net, phone 440-427-6592.
Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family and friends! I also enjoy coaching football and really anything that else that involves football. Other interests of mine include cars, reading, movies and hanging out at home.
