About Me

I am a 1989 graduate of Olmsted Falls High School. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1994 and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 1999.

After graduating from Purdue University, I spent about 15 years working in a variety of roles in industry including equipment engineering, competitive intelligence analysis, supply chain management, and finance. I spent this time with two different companies: Energizer in Westlake, OH, and PolyOne in Avon Lake, OH.

In 2006, I began pursuing a life-long goal of teaching high school mathematics through the Ohio Core program. This program provided an accelerated path for mid-career professionals to earn a teaching license in mathematics, science, or foreign language.

I left the private sector in 2007 and began my teaching career at Lakewood High School. After serving the Lakewood City School district for six years, I returned home to my alma mater, OFHS, in 2013.
