In February 2022, grades 3-5 completed 2 pickleball challenges. The first challenge consisted of the ball & paddle dribbling. Students must dribble the ball on the paddle without dropping it on the floor. This skill is first introduced at the kindergarten level. The second challenge consisted of the pickleball rally. Instead of giving students a time limit, students were challenged to hit the ball into a 3ft. x 3ft. square on the wall as many times as possible. Every time the ball hits the wall, it must bounce only once on the ground before being hit again. If the ball bounces twice, hits outside the square, or is hit before bouncing once on the ground, the challenge is over.
