PONYTAIL CLUB
Are you interested in making a difference by donating your hair? Ponytails will be donated to Locks of Love. Their mission is to return a sense of self confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children free of charge. iStation at Home
Did you know that your learners have access to an amazing reading resource at home?!
The first step is to install Istation on your home computer. This is a quick and easy process. Go to www.istation.com/IstationHome and follow the simple installation instructions.
Your learner will login with their school username and password that they use for all of their school accounts.
The www.istation.com/IstationHome Web page also provides information on how to log in to the Istation Parent Portal, where you can view your child’s progress and access reports and other resources.
Reminder of Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
When arriving and departing school, please follow our Lee Arrival and Dismissal Procedures.
- Drop off begins at 7:15. Only learners attending tutoring, participating in Chess Club, or a Sunshine Spur should come in before 7:15.
- Drop learners off in the car loop only. The back lot is for staff parking, daycare, special education, and busses.
- Car pool lane is for carpoolers only, not those wanting to bypass the drop off line.
- Walk learners in after 7:38 (our staff walks in at this time). For your child's safety, and per the Elementary Student Handbook, learners should walk in accompanied by an adult.

MESSAGE FROM THE COMPOST CREW
Keiko and the Compost Crew are collecting vegetable scraps and used coffee grounds EVERY FRIDAY for composting? They can bring them to the cafeteria each Friday morning.

The following library tasks are in need of some extra hands:
- Shelving books
- Straightening / organizing shelves
- Helping learners check in / out

PARENT CONNECTION
REMINDER: You can access grades through Home Access Center. This presentation can help you understand how to use this tool at home to keep on top of learner grades. For Schoology, you can access learner work using information found here.
PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT
Parents, thank you for being members of our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Please take a moment to check your PTO Membership Toolkit settings. We want to be mindful to protect your privacy, so if you have not adjusted your settings, you will want to review your Directory and Publish Preferences settings to ensure that unwanted personal information is not viewable to members.

SPUR SAVINGS
Spur Savings Kicked Off on September 26! Your learners can bring their deposits EVERY Thursday for the rest of the year.
To participate (each bullet point below is an active link to be clicked on):
- If your Child is NEW to Spur Savings, please complete the New Account Application.
- If your Child is already a member of Las Colinas Federal Credit Union, please complete the Existing Member information to update your child’s House & Grade information.
- If your child does not have a social security number, please complete a W-8BEN and return it to Las Colinas Federal Credit Union .
EARPHONES
Please make sure your child has earphones. There is some work that we do that requires sound and it helps the learners focus when they have earphones on.
