Below are calendars of the various assessments our students take throughout the school year. If you have any questions regarding local and state testing, I'd be happy to answer them for you.
State and District Assessments
Measuring Academic Progress (MAP)
Students in K-5 will participate in the MAP Reading and Math progress assessment. MAP is a computer-adaptive reading and math assessment that provides teachers and parents one picture of how your child is doing. MAP is given 3 times a year (beginning, middle and end), but may also be given more times throughout the year at the teacher's discretion.
Common Assessments (CA)
Common Assessments are district and campus created assessments that students in grades 2-5 will take throughout the school year. Teachers will use this information to tailor their instruction. The CA calendar is listed below.
STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness)
The STAAR assessment is for Texas students in grades 3, 4 and 5 . Below are the dates and subjects that are assessed in the Spring.
The testing window for eligible students in grades 3-5 taking STAAR ALT 2 will be March.
The testing window for eligible LEP students in grades 2-5 taking the online TELPAS test will be February.
