Field trip to see the Hispanic Flamenco ballet

The Spanish club went to see the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet from Miami Beach, Florida for two performances at Metropolitan Community College’s south campus on October 9. The morning performance was Latin American Inspirations Song & Dance and featured music and dances from Latin America such as the cumbia, samba, tango, merengue, and salsa. The afternoon performance was Spanish Passion with Tablao Flamenco, which featured music and dances from Spain such as the jota, muñeira & pasodoble. In addition to getting to watch the dances, a few students were able to join the dancers at the end of each show.
