Hello! My name is Katie Miraglia, and I'm excited for another year as your Seahawk Librarian! Before becoming a librarian I taught Engineering and Computer Science here at Scoggins, and have taught many other technology classes over my career. I graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Business Education degree many years ago and received my Master's in Library Science from the University of North Texas in 2019.

My husband and I have two beautiful daughters, Peyton is a sophomore at Emerson HS and Savannah is a 8th grader here at Scoggins. I love coffee, cooking, traveling, and reading!

Student Aide Book Share Examples:

Are you interested in becoming a student aide?

We are currently accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. Student aides will perform a variety of tasks including:

Shelving books and materials
Straightening bookshelves
Checking books in and out
Unpacking and processing new books
Making deliveries
Laminating materials
Helping with bulletin boards and special displays
Setting up school book fairs
Delivering items to classrooms
Assisting the Area Tech
Tasks for teachers like cutting and assembling

Student aides will work under the direction of the librarian, Mrs. Miraglia. If this is something you are interested in you can apply using this Google form. To be accepted to the position you will need to have a positive teacher recommendation, be approved by the librarian, and have parent permission.
