Hello and WELCOME to 7th grade Texas History!
I am Coach Baker and I am very excited about teaching you this year. Although this will be my first year teaching at Scoggins, I have spent the past 4 years on this campus working Inclusion and in specific centralized Special Education classrooms. Along with teaching I will be coaching girls’ volleyball, basketball and track.
I am originally from Los Angeles, California but Texas has always been my second home. I am the youngest of 5 siblings, all sisters, and have 7 nieces and nephews who I love dearly. Coming from a large family, it is something that is very important to me.
I moved to Frisco at the age of 15 and finished my high school career, within the district, at Centennial High School. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. With an emphasis in Social Work, there is where I developed my interest in working with middle school children. I also played football and helped our program receive its first NCAA conference title and playoff appearance.
Growing up as a student/ athlete I understand completely the importance of hard work. I intend to work very hard this year in making your experience in 7th grade very memorable. Can’t wait to get to know each and every one of you!
GO SEAHAWKS!!
