My name is Anne Yake, and I am thrilled to be a part of the third grade team at Purefoy! It's hard to believe that this is my 30th year in education. I have taught third grade for the past 6 years and also have experience teaching ELAR in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.
I grew up in Louisiana, graduated from Louisiana Tech University, and then moved to Texas to teach. Mike and I have been married for 28 years and have two girls. Both of our daughters went to Purefoy and graduated from Wakeland High School. Carter is a graduate of Texas A&M and UT Heath School of Physical Therapy. Olivia graduated from Belmont University in Nashville and will finish her master´s degree in social work in May.
I consider it a privilege to be a part of your student's life. This will be a FUN year of learning, laughter, and growth! Please feel free to reach out to me at any time!
It's going to be a GREAT year!
