Ms. Jordan Davis

Hello! My name is Jordan Davis, and I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher. This is my 4th year teaching here at Purefoy Elementary and couldn't be happier to be a part of the Purefoy Family. During my time at Purefoy, I have taught Kindergarten, a sprinkle of 1st Grade, and 3rd Grade virtually. Kindergarten has been my absolute favorite grade to teach. A little bit about me, I am originally from a small town in Illinois but have called Texas home for the past 20 years. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with my EC-6 education certification as well as my ESL certification. When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my family and friends. Although I do not have any kiddos of my own, I do have a sweet fur baby named Cooper. I am also a lover of baking, cooking, and traveling. This year is going to be full of some new adventures for our kindergartners and I can't wait to meet their smiling faces!

Mrs. Lindsay Turman

Hello! My name is Lindsay Turman, and I am so excited to be a part of the Kindergarten team at Purefoy!! This will be my 20th year of teaching. I have taught 19 years of Kindergarten and one year of Second Grade! I absolutely LOVE teaching Kindergarten!! It is full of learning experiences and a lot of fun along the way!! I grew up in small town East Texas, and I graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC-4). Axe'em Jacks!! I also have an English as a Second Language (ESL) certification. In my spare time, I enjoy watching my kids in all of their many activities. My daughter, Sydney (16), is a sophomore at Wakeland and on the Legacy Line drill team. My son, Bentley (15), is a Freshman at Celina High School, and my youngest son, Lincoln (6) is a First Grader in Celina as well. Our boys love all things sports! We are definitely a sports loving family (especially the Cowboys and the Clemson Tigers), and we love taking trips together!! My husband, Rod, works in Sales/Marketing for Cox Automotive. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this summer!! I cannot wait to meet my new Kindergarten friends soon and begin our year together!!

Ms. Katie Benson

Hello, Kindergarten Families! My name is Katie Benson, and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten again this year! This will be my 11th year teaching and 8th year at Purefoy. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) in 2011. Before moving to TX, I taught for three years in Edmond, Oklahoma. My son, Beau, will be in 2nd grade, and my niece, Emma, will be in 5th grade this year! I love getting to be at Purefoy with both of them. In my spare time, you can normally find me at some kind of sporting event for the kiddos. We love sports, and I love watching Beau and Emma do what they love! I also love to come out and watch my students as well! I absolutely love Kindergarten, and I am so looking forward to this new adventure with your sweet kiddos. I truly can't wait to meet all of you. I already know it's going to be an incredible year!

Mrs. Tracy Steele

Hi! My name is Tracy Steele. This is my sixth year teaching for Frisco ISD and 18th year teaching. I graduated from Heidelberg University in Ohio with a degree in Elementary Education. My husband and I have been married for 25 years, and we have three children. Kyler graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Ellie is a senior at the University of Arkansas. Gracyn is a freshman at Oklahoma State University. I love to read, walk, and spend time with family and friends. We have called Ohio, Arizona, and now Texas home!
