Hello 2nd Grade Families!

My name is Mrs. Alva, and I am so excited to welcome you to 2nd grade! I have been teaching at Phillips Elementary since 2020, and after several wonderful years in first grade, I am excited to begin my first year teaching second grade. I love helping students build confidence, discover a love of learning, and celebrate their successes each day.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband and four amazing kids. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories together. I can't wait to get to know you and your child and help make this a fantastic year!
