How do I put a book on hold?
Placing a hold reserves a resource, such as a book, that is currently checked out to another person. After the book gets checked in, you get notified that the book is available for you to pick up and check out from the library.
You have two options for placing a book on hold. You may ask the librarian or a library aide to place the book on hold, or you may log into the library catalog and place the book on hold yourself.
Important: For the remainder of the 2025 - 2026 school year, holds have been turned off. You cannot put a book on hold at this time.
Do you have audiobooks and eBooks?
Yes, Frisco ISD offers audiobooks and eBooks through Sora, which gives Frisco ISD middle school students access to elementary and middle school audiobooks and eBooks on their device.
For information on how to access and use Sora, see this presentation provided by Frisco ISD Library and Media Services.
