Hello! My name is April Shannon.

I am originally from Louisiana but have lived in Texas for six years. I have a bachelors and masters in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the University of Louisiana Monroe.

I have 18 years of teaching experience in 2nd grade, 1st grade, and as an elementary librarian. My heart belongs to 2nd graders!

My husband and I have been married for 15 years and have two wonderful children; Cameron who is 12 and Hallie who is 8. My husband works as a fire protection engineer in the McKinney Fire Marshal's Office.

I love to cook, read, exercise, and spend time with my family. I love trips to Louisiana to visit my parents and friends. Teaching is more than a job to me..it is my life’s work.

Jade Tatsuhara

Hello! My name is Ms. Tatsuhara. I am so excited to work alongside you to further your child’s academic journey! My goal is to foster a positive learning environment that challenges students to reach their fullest potential!

I was born and raised in Texas. I love traveling and spending time with those close to me! I also enjoy participating in arts and crafts such as painting or drawing.

I attended Texas A&M Commerce where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. I did my student teaching in Kindergarten, and I have taught 1st grade at Ogle in 2024. This year I will be teaching 2nd grade for the first time.

Brittney Ward

Hiii!!! I'm so excited to be continuing my teaching journey at Ogle Elementary this year! This will be my 7th year teaching 2nd grade and it’s definitely my happy place! I’ve previously taught 1st grade as well.

I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, crafting, traveling, and shopping with my daughter.

Teaching is my passion and I’m so lucky to get to do what I love everyday. I can’t wait to meet you all.

Janie Enriquez

Hello! My name is Janie Enriquez, and I am so excited to be returning to the Ogle family and the 2nd grade team this year! I have been teaching 2nd grade for the past 9 years and have enjoyed every day of it.

I was born in El Paso and raised in a small town outside from there. My family and I moved to DFW in 2011 and are now proud McKinney residents! My husband is also a Teacher and a Coach at Liberty High School. We have 3 children, Chris, our Red Raider, Andrew, our Miner, and Hannah, our Redhawk Varsity Cheerleader.

We love all things Texas Tech and Dallas Stars and Golf! I enjoy sports, reading, music, Zumba, and spending time with my family. I enjoy traveling back home to see my parents and siblings, and vacations and outings with my family!

I really enjoy teaching, and I'm so excited for this upcoming school year. I can't wait to meet you all!

Jen Hirmon

My name is Ms. Hirmon and I have been teaching for 6 years. I have been on the second-grade team at Ogle for 5 years! I am born and raised in Texas , although I have lived all over from New York to St. Thomas in the Caribbean.

I have a 7-year-old son who loves all things hockey and outdoors these days, and he is my world! My favorite color is orange, and you will always find me with a coffee in hand every morning to kick start the day ! When I am not working and chasing after my kiddo , I love to read and enjoy being outside. I cannot wait to meet you and greet you with a smile !!!
