Please feel free to send a snack (nut free) with your child to school each day. Healthy snacks are encouraged. Please refrain from sending your child with a snack that needs refrigeration, heating, or utensils. Juices and sodas are not permitted in the classroom so we ask that you send a water bottle with your child to school. In order to maximize student involvement in the classroom, students will not be permitted to leave the classroom to purchase a snack in the cafeteria during the school day. A child may purchase a snack from the cafeteria before school to keep in their backpack until snack time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child's teacher at any time!
Spelling words will be tested weekly and posted on the weekly newsletter each week!
Students are encouraged to read at home for 30 minutes each night. Please feel free to support them by listening to their reading and asking them questions about what they read about. Example questions to ask: What happened in the chapter you just read? What characters were involved? What's the main idea of what you just read?
Stay tuned for daily math practice - coming soon!
Please send your students to school with a water bottle that has a sealable/spill-proof lid
Please label students water bottles in case they are left out at the playground, cafeteria, or in another classroom.
District policy states that classwide treats cannot be distributed to the class. If you want your child to have a special treat on their birthday - you are welcome to send one for them or join them for lunch!
Birthday invitations can only be passed out if every student in the classroom is receiving one.
