THINGS WE LEARN IN ART
The students will study art production, art history, art aesthetics, and art criticism while meeting all TEKS for grades K-5 Fine Arts. Students will study about and apply the Elements and Principles of Design to their works, learn art vocabulary, terminology, and techniques. Many connections will be made between the art studio and the regular classroom. There are many ways to see and interpret the world and students will develop skills to become critical and creative thinkers. The students will experience the world in a way not seen before and are able to express the way they think and feel in the work they do. Art is sensitive to the many learning styles and multiple intelligences: all students are capable.
