Important Arrival and Dismissal Information

Please note arrival and dismissal procedures. Review the information below carefully along with the attached arrival and dismissal maps.

Arrival

• All car riders will use the back carpool lanes and drop off on the north side between the K/1 pod and gym, by the playground area.  These doors will open at 7:20. All students will go to the café where they will wait in grade level/teacher lines.

• We will have staff on duty at the car rider drop off. Please keep in mind they are there to monitor the area. With such a high amount of cars dropping off in a short period of time, it is very difficult to open every car door for students. Please talk to your child about the importance of being prepared to exit the vehicle, once stopped, without the assistance of a staff member. It is also important to remind them to close the car door after they exit the vehicle.

• Students walking to school or riding bikes/scooters will enter the café doors at the front of the building. These doors will open at 7:20.

• The tardy bell rings at 7:45. Students should be in their classrooms by 7:45 ready for morning announcements and the class morning meeting. 

• The front of the building is not a carpool drop-off location.

Dismissal

• All students that are being picked up via car will use the back carpool lines. It is very important to access and review the carpool dismissal maps carefully to make sure you understand the traffic flow.

• Kindergarten through third grade walkers, without siblings, will dismiss from the café.

• Kindergarten – fifth grade walkers, with siblings, along with fourth grade and fifth grade walkers without siblings, will dismiss from the doors located at the front of the building by the fourth and fifth grade pod. Students will meet the oldest sibling in the fourth and fifth grade pod area.

• In the event of severe weather all students will go to carpool unless they are bus/daycare riders or Alphabest.

• The front driveway is for bus and day care pick-up only during afternoon dismissal, and cannot be used for cars to park and pick up walkers.
